Jaunt to Idaho

In the fall we like to touch bases with our wonderful friends in Idaho. Dirk and Dayna are farmers of grain, beets, and potatoes on a HUGE farm in the little town of Aberdeen. It is just beautiful there--quiet and peaceful, so different than here in our city! We drove up and stayed just a day, catching up with them and enjoying their friendship. They sent us home with so many potatoes that we had to put air in the tires of our car, it was so weighted down! Dirk and Jimbob were mission companions thirty five years ago in jolly old England where they served their missions.

Some of my most favorite friends are from the mission, and same for Jared.

I am loving those monstrous potatoes! They are much better than the puny things we were eating for a while... :)

And you didn't bring any back for the rest of us. Fer shame, fer shame, fer shame.
